Baby Pea Pod

I was asked to make a cake using a theme for a baby shower showing a baby in a pea pod.  Here is what the theme was based on.

I was also asked to make a sheet cake, so here is what I came up with.

The baby and pea pod are all made with MMF.  Half of the cake is white and the other half is chocolate.  I really had alot of fun making this cake. :)

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

I've been experimenting alot with icing and cake batter recipes.  I love chocolate cake and my boyfriend really likes peanut butter, so I just went with it. haha

I whipped up some chocolate cake (using a recipe that I've finally got the way I like) and added some peanut butter chips to the batter.  I then added some peanut butter to my buttercream icing along with a little milk.  I am not a hug fan of peanut butter, but I really liked these cupcakes.

I made alot, so my boyfriend took them to work.  According to him, they were a success. lol

Lady Bug Baby Shower

So, I want to start by saying this is one of my favorite cakes so far.  :)

This is a baby shower cake made for a friend I went to high school with.  I had so much fun making this cake.

The bottom tier is an 8 inch round cake covered with green buttercream icing.  The lady bug's body is made using one half of the sports ball pan.  I covered and decorated it with MMF.  All of the other accents on the cake are also made of MMF.

My FAVORITE part of the cake was all of the baby lady bugs and flowers on the side.  I just loved the way it turned out. :)

Welcome Back Cupcake!

At work, our boss, Janis, had been off for a little while.  So to let her know that she was missed, we had the idea for me to make her a cake.  And I went with a big cupcake. :)

I used the large cupcake pan and piped rosettes on the top.  The bottom of the cupcake is covered and decorated with a MMF bow.
